A zinc-rich primer is the first coat onto abrasive-blasted structural steel, and it carries a high loading of metallic zinc. Zinc corrodes before steel does — so where the coating gets chipped on site, scratched in transit or cut through at a weld, the zinc around the damage gives itself up first and the steel underneath is left alone. That is what sacrificial protection means in practice: the primer is the coat doing the protecting, and anything applied over it is largely there to protect the primer.
It is supplied as two components you mix on site — Part A and Part B — because the two only have a working life together once they're combined.

The usual way to get a datasheet is to ask a rep, who asks someone else, and it turns up when it turns up. Sometimes there's an account application in front of it — you have to become a customer before you're allowed to read what you'd be buying.

There isn't a protective coating on the Australian market we can't identify, break down and match against — same AS/NZS 2312 classification, same generic type, same zinc loading. Send us a product name or a datasheet and you'll get the comparison back in writing, before you order anything. Your spec doesn't change. Nothing gets re-qualified. The only thing that changes is who invoices you.
The product we supply against that comparison is the zinc-rich primer. It's the coat we make, and it's the coat the written match is for.
